Alexis Pereira

My name is Alexis Pereira and I am from Queens, home of the bus.

I’m currently a staff writer on Disney’s Hamster & Gretel. I was hired as an associate writer in 2022 and was promoted to staff writer for season two.

I've written and produced for IFC, Mas Mejor, Above Average, Funny or Die, and College Humor. I regularly release comedy sketches online and I was on Harold Night at UCB for about five years.

I've appeared on Broad City, Late Night with Seth Meyers, MTV's Middle of the Night Show, and NPR. I was a regular on The President Show on Comedy Central and I played a principal role in Let's Not Panic, a TriBeCa Film Festival select. .

Dr. Brothers, a show I wrote and starred in, ran at UCB from April 2016 to October 2016. My next show Detective Sully was named “Best of UCB” and was invited to the 2018 New York Comedy Festival along with another show I directed, Los Profesores.

I’m an essayist and have published two articles for Vulture. Yes, I did write the insanely viral Tom & Jerry essay tweet but no, I am not a professor. I was Vulture’s SNL recapper for a year.
